BOUDOIR (/ˈbuːdwɑːr/; French: [bu.dwaʁ])
a woman's private sitting room or salon in a furnished accommodation usually between the dining room and the bedroom, but can also refer to a woman's private bedroom. BOUDOIR COLLECTIONS FOCUS ON TASTEFUL, INTIMATE PHOTOGRAPHS, TYPICALLY GIVEN TO A SIGNIFICANT OTHER PRIOR TO A WEDDING OR ENGAGEMENT, OR FOR NO REASON AT ALL OTHER THAN LOVE.
boudoir sessions are scheduled three times per calendar year AT OUR FAVORITE HOTEL LOCATIONS OR ANY TIME THROUGHOUT THE YEAR IN THE PRIVACY OF YOUR OWN HOME. IT IS TYPICAL TO SCHEDULE YOUR BOUDOIR SESSION 3-6 MONTHS PRIOR TO YOUR WEDDING OR ENGAGEMENT.
OUR BOUDOIR COLLECTIONS ARE SCHEDULED AT SWANKY + BOUTIQUE HOTELS IN CENTRAL ILLINOIS OR IN THE PRIVACY OF OUR CLIENTS' HOMES. THE BONUS OF OUR HOTEL BOOKINGS ARE THE GORGEOUS BACKDROPS THAT THEY PROVIDE. THEY HAVE EXPENSIVE FURNITURE, TASTEFUL DECOR, AND GREAT LIGHTING OPTIONS.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY IS AN INTIMATE INTERACTION BETWEEN PHOTOGRAPHER AND CLIENT, THEREFORE BEING NERVOUS, STRESSED, OR SHY ABOUT IT IS A TOTALLY NATURAL REACTION. WE AIM TO MAKE YOU AS COMFORTABLE AND THE SHOOT AS STRESS-FREE AS POSSIBLE. A FEW WAYS WE DO THIS IS COMPLIMENTARY CHAMPAGNE OR WINE, YOUR FAVORITE TUNES, AND, IF YOU WISH, AN IN-PERSON MEETING PRIOR TO YOUR SESSION TO GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER BETTER!
Each base boudoir session fee is the same: $350. from there, additional prcing may be added depending on the location you choose for your session. hotel sessions cost more and the additional pricing is based on current hotel prices at the time as well as how many additional sessions are booked for the same day.
HOW TO PREPARE:
it is important to bring a wardrobe that fits with your level of comfort as well as style. we always advise to create a color scheme or theme to your session prior to arrival (i.e. neutrals, pinks + burgundys, babydolls + slips, lace, lingerie, two pieces, etc.). we aim for optimal levels of confidence, sexiness, and tastefulness, and we create that with our posing style, wardrobe selection, and shooting methods. trust is absolutely key to getting natural, beautiful images.
